SIZING

We've measured a few camera straps in our time, so we have some sizing suggestions based on our experience. However, each person is different so to be sure that you're ordering the right camera strap, we suggest that you use one of these measuring techniques.

If you like the length of the camera strap that you're currently using: Measure it and order that length.

If you're not currently using a camera strap or you’re not sure if it’s the right length: Take a piece of string and securely tie it to your camera. Wear it around the house. Fire off a few shots. Make sure it’s comfortable and adjust it as necessary. Once you’re happy with the length, mark the string where it was attached to your camera, remove it, measure it, and you’ve got the perfect length for your custom built Talbott & Sons leather camera strap.

If you still aren’t sure or if you need a size that isn’t offered, email us at info@talbottandsons.com and we’d be happy to accommodate you.

SONOMA - WRIST STRAP

This strap is adjustable from 4 inches (10 cm) to 0 inches (0 cm) in diameter. By simply sliding the D-ring up or down, the strap adjusts to comfortably fit anyone's wrist.

The D-ring design not only allows you to easily adjust the strap to your comfort but also causes the strap to cinch securely around your wrist in case you drop your camera.

NEWPORT - FIXED LENGTH STRAP

This strap is not adjustable. We build it specifically to best fit your body and comfort. Whether you prefer to wear it around your neck or across your body, we offer a generous variety of size options to best fit your needs.

Everyone has their own preference, but we would like to offer some general guidelines to help steer you in the right direction when selecting your camera strap length.

For a strap that will be worn around your neck with the camera wresting on your chest, most people prefer a strap length between 36 inches (91 cm) to 46 inches (117 cm) with 40 inches (102 cm) being the most commonly ordered.

For a strap that will be worn across your body with the camera wresting on your hip, most people prefer a strap length between 46 inches (117 cm) to 56 inches (142 cm) with 50 inches (127 cm) being the most commonly ordered.

HUMBOLDT - ADJUSTABLE STRAP

This strap is adjustable from 40 inches (102 cm) to 48 inches (122 cm). By easily adjusting the buckle the Humboldt quickly transforms from a comfortable neck strap to a secure cross-body strap.

The versatile design is particularly useful for travel, nature, and street photographers, or situations where multiple photographers are sharing the same camera.
